Why do we take students on college field trips?
We know that for students who don’t have a family history of higher education, being the first to go to college requires support and encouragement sometimes not found at home, in school or in the community. That’s where we come in!
Learning objectives:
- Explore best practices for planning a meaningful middle school college trip, with lens of first generation college students
- Interact with related planning guides and class lessons to feel more comfortable
- Familiarize ourselves with available resources
